Role:
Lead the Training Function.
- The role holder will be accountable for heading the function
- Develop content for training department and build capacity of training teams
- Oversee quality of training of delivery teams across the country
- Conduct regular research for further enhancement of the Training curriculum on a regular basis
- Visit field locations to carry out quality audits for the organization
- Fundraising through capitalizing functional competence
Reporting to: Sr. General Manager - Program Development
Staff Reporting: Direct - 10 (National Trainers up to Sr. Manager Level)
Matrix - 10 (State Trainers)
Key Responsibilities
- Design and conceptualize curriculums for target groups including children, youth and communities across developmental domain areas
- Develop and implement a measurement framework for monitoring and evaluation of training program
- Ensure that appropriate research is done to develop high quality training program
- Ensure that high quality training content is developed
- Ensure that trainers are trained on delivering programs as per bench mark standards
- Oversee the accreditation and quality of trainers
- Planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting of the performance of the function to the management
- Manager a team of national /state trainers and be responsible for the performance and motivation of the team members
- Liaison with school / universities to promote S4D (Sports for Development) curriculum
- Innovation on S4D training and Curriculum
Desired Competencies
- Thorough knowledge of various training tools and techniques in the area of curriculum development
- Knowledge of sports and games, physical activity, delivery and output
- Knowledge of child development, youth development and community programmes
- Experience in training content development and training
- Experience in supervising Research and M&E activities
- Familiar with social issues like child rights, gender discrimination, education, among others
- Earlier experience in developing Training content and curriculum for children or youth
Additional requirements:
- Experience in managing large teams
- Dealing with External Bodies, like Government, Academics, Corporate, Research Bodies etc.
Qualification and Experience
- Masters degree in Management / Social Work / any other Social Sciences / Physical Education/Sports
- 8 to 12 years in the social sector out of which 5 years must have been in a similar leadership role. Proven track record of performance in similar role and stability on the previous roles shall be the added advantage
