Trade Surveillance/Monitoring Role - SMARTS/Actimize - Banking Unit

Opportunity with top notch Banking unit for Mumbai/Gurgaon location.

Individual will be responsible for monitoring trading activities across multiple asset classes for market abuse and market manipulation supporting one of the global regions US, EMEA, APR, LATAM or Canada.

Responsibilities

- Conduct trade surveillance to monitor market abuse and market manipulation across asset classes (equity, fixed income and derivatives trading)

- Monitor trading activity using various exceptions based reports.

- Analyze T+1 trading data on trade surveillance platforms for potential compliance issues.

Trade Surveillance models to be reviewed and monitored includes (but not limited to): Possible Insider Trading, Possible Ramping, Layering, Spoofing, Trade to Trade, Marking the close, IPO Laddering, Wash Trading, Front Running, Trading Halt & Cancelled Trade Reviews, Mark up / Down, Parking, Post Trade Cancel & Correct, TRACE Alerts for Fixed Income products, etc.

- Real time online monitoring of alerts, security Prices and Volume of Exchange traded securities.

- Unveiling and controlling the manipulation in terms of abnormal trades, prices and orders.

Real time monitoring and analysis of stock markets to identify unusual trading patterns thereby controlling the manipulation across the trading segments

Designing & developing various alerts to identify probable cases of Insider trading, Front running, Pump & Dump, Wash sales/trades, Reversals, manipulation in Illiquid securities, Order Spoofing ( Large Cancelled orders & Unexecuted Orders), Trade spoofing and Circular trading

Investigation of the Members in the case of MTM transfer, abnormal trades, abnormal orders, unusual activities in the market, if any.

- Identifying any trades/series of trades resulting in actual or potential market abuse using internal systems and as well as external vendor applications such as SMARTS Broker / Bloomberg

Mandatory Skills

- 2+ years of experience in capital markets operations with a thorough understanding of trade life cycle

- Strong product knowledge in capital markets

- Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills

- Excel skills and attention to detail

- Strong English written and verbal communication skills
