Trade Support Operations
Role and Responsibilities:
Reporting to Head of Operations - You will be a part of the Equities Trade support team and your role will be to provide effective operational support including trades confirmation, settlements & static maintenance.
The role holder shall ensure that the following objectives are met:
- Trade Confirmation is a time bound activity and the person on role has to ensure that timely and correct confirms are sent to the client in the desired mode defined by them.
- The role also involves interacting with Front office & overseas desks for allocations or trade related queries and liaising with clients/custodians for New Accounts, mismatches in trade nominal, allocations, economics etc.
- Act as backup to other functions including settlements, static maintenance & derivatives desk.
- Provide back office requirements for any regulatory changes or enhancements within the system. Also perform the system User Acceptance Test (UAT).
- Support and promotion of best practices within the Team via coaching and appropriate behavioral/communication techniques
- Management of Individual and Team competences through on-going communication and regular assessments
- You will be required to apply a professional levels of communication with external parties such as Clients, Front Offices, Peers and Colleagues and to apply a proper standards of conduct
Professional Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification, preferably in Business or Finance.
- At least 3 to 5 years working experience in a securities firm, involving Client & intermediaries interaction.
- Experience in Client facing function (Relationship management, business support).
- Energetic, results-focused, change agent, with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure, while maintaining close attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of dealing with Clients and intermediaries at all levels.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a positive and pro-active - can do- attitude.
- Team player and people motivator.
- Interpersonal, collaborative, relationship building and influencing skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Computer Skills - Should have advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point including macros & functions.
