Trade Finance Product Manager - 12 Months - Contactual - Global Consulting Firm - Bahrain
Opportunity Overview
Our client is a prestigious bank in Bahrain. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our clients core Trade Management product team within the Transaction Banking unit. This is a crucial role aimed at delivering a range of Trade Management products, channels, and solutions to our Non-Retail clients, including SMEs, Corporates, FIs, Government entities, and GREs. The position is pivotal in driving the commercialization and optimization of Trade Finance products, enhancing client satisfaction, and ensuring product profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Product Development and Management: Build business cases for the creation of new Trade Management products, establish and maintain a product roadmap, and monitor performance against strategic goals.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the intermediary between clients, developers, and internal teams (delivery, operations, and coverage) to ensure smooth rollout and delivery of Trade Management products and solutions.
- Trade Finance Commercialization: Collaborate with Coverage teams to drive and assist in the commercialization of Trade Finance products, aiming to optimize product profitability.
- Project Delivery: Facilitate the delivery of RFPs, BRDs, and manage new product/system launches or upgrades, ensuring projects are delivered as per the expected timeframe and cost.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert for Trade Management products, providing guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Governance and Coordination: Participate in governance and working forums, providing updates on project status, risks, and issues while coordinating with regional and country-based stakeholders.
- Risk Management and Resolution: Identify, escalate, and resolve risks that may impact project delivery, working closely with various stakeholders.
Qualifications and ExperienceEducation: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field of study.
Experience: A minimum of five years' experience in Trade Management products/Operations/Project environment, with a preference for those who have exposure to business project delivery roles.
Skills and Competencies
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of Trade finance products, including pricing drivers, and good knowledge of Trade Management systems and standard processes.
- Project Management: Strong ability to apply project management best practices, take ownership of tasks, and drive solutions to completion within strict timelines.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in senior stakeholder engagement and management, with the ability to create effective work relationships across business units and borders.
- Communication: Fluent in English with high-level oral and written communication skills; Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as in teams, with a service-driven approach and strong interpersonal skills.
