Job Overview:

- We are hiring for a fast-growing Agritech supply chain company that is revolutionizing agricultural commodity trading through AI-powered analytics and digital supply chain optimization.


- As the Trade Director, you will lead the Agri commodity trading desk, overseeing trading activities across multiple geographies.


- You will be responsible for ensuring profitable growth, managing a team of traders, and expanding the company's presence in new markets and commodities.


- This senior role requires a deep understanding of commodity markets, the Agri supply chain, and risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Development: Develop and execute trading strategies that align with the company's revenue and profitability goals, ensuring strong returns on capital employed (ROCE).

2. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of senior and associate traders to meet and exceed performance targets, fostering a high-performance culture.

3. Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including market expansion and the introduction of new commodities.

4. Relationship Management: Build and sustain relationships with key suppliers, buyers, and stakeholders to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.

5. Market Monitoring: Track market trends, economic conditions, and price fluctuations to identify trading opportunities and mitigate risks.

6. Risk Management: Implement risk management strategies such as hedging and arbitrage to protect against market volatility and ensure profitability.

7. Compliance: Ensure that all trading activities comply with applicable regulations and industry standards.

8. Industry Networking: Develop a strong network within the commodity trading industry to stay updated on market developments and future opportunities.

9. Performance Reporting: Provide detailed reports and insights on trading performance, market trends, and business growth opportunities to senior management.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

2. Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in cross-border Agri commodity trading, with a proven track record of achieving revenue and profit targets.

3. Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of commodity markets, trading strategies, and the Agri supply chain.

4. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships across the supply chain.

5. Analytical Thinking: Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

6. Language Skills: Fluency in English and at least one other language relevant to the company's target markets.

7. Adaptability: Willingness to travel as required for business purposes.
