Designation: Trade Compliance Specialist
Shift: Morning/Afternoon
Responsibilities -
- Responsible for Customs-Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS / HS), Export Control (ECCN) & Dangerous Goods (DG) classifications of parts. Involvement in Cross functional Projects.
- Identification of customs duty Reduction Opportunities HTS & ECCN Review Projects.
- Support M&A from Classification perspective.
- Handling Customs Queries and Involvement with Trade Logistics folk on complex issues at regional level.
- Act as advisor for compliance and trade cost efficiencies.
- Provide training to business on Classification processes and trade compliance.
- Conduct periodic document reviews for accuracy of trade/classification data.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact.
- Provide reports as required both monthly, quarterly, and as requested, to keep senior management informed of the operation.
- Continuous focus on process improvements and attending to various customer requests in reference to compliance activities
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Bio-chemistry, Bio technology, Electronics Engineering/ Masters Degree in International Business, Bio-chemistry, Bio-technology, Electronics Engineering
- 5-6 Years of work experience in any BPO/ KPO / MNCs with exposure to Trade Compliance (International / Domestic) and Tariff classification exposure.
- Exposure to US culture and experience in US customs, export control / import controls.
- Knowledge of six sigma and other quality tools (preferred)
- Product Knowledge of Engineering/ Chemical industry.
- Willingness to undertake new & challenging assignments.
- Excellent communication skills with capability to express oneself clearly and completely (both spoken & written), includes ability to listen, analyze and respond.
