Head of Sales - B2B SaaS


Overview:


- The Head of Sales (can upgrade to a Cofounder) will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by overseeing all aspects of revenue generation, including sales and marketing.


- This individual will be responsible for developing and executing effective go-to-market (GTM) strategies, generating high-quality leads through inbound and outbound marketing efforts, and managing a team of talented sales professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Own Demand Generation:


- Develop and execute comprehensive inbound and outbound marketing strategies to generate a steady stream of high-quality leads.


- Utilize various digital marketing channels, including content marketing, SEO, social media, and email marketing, to attract and engage potential customers.

Sales Management:


- Oversee and manage a team of Account Executives (AEs) and Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). Provide leadership, coaching, and training to ensure they achieve their sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Revenue Forecasting and Reporting:


- Develop accurate revenue forecasts and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sales and marketing efforts.


- Prepare regular reports and analysis to provide insights to executive leadership.

Product Marketing:

- Develop and Own Product Positioning and Messaging.

- Develop essential marketing collateral such as datasheets, case studies, and presentations to support sales efforts.


- Ensure all materials communicate clear value propositions and product benefits.

- Collaborate with the Product Team to Influence the Roadmap to ensure alignment with market needs and business goals.

- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities and trends.

- Develop and execute product launch plans.

Partnership Development:


- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to expand market reach and drive revenue growth.

Team Leadership:


- Build and develop a high-performing sales and marketing team. Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications:

- Full-time MBA from a Tier 1 B-School.

- Over 8 years of proven success in B2B SaaS growth roles, with a primary focus on marketing and sales in the North American Geography.

- A track record of leading sales teams to exceed goals, particularly in deal closures and revenue generation.

- Experience in team building, including hiring, training, and setting the team up for success.

- Experience in product marketing strategies and knowing how they can be leveraged to enhance sales efforts.

- A go-getter attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, lean environment. Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved in all aspects of the sales process.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and execute effective marketing strategies.

- A genuine passion for the startup environment, contributing to its energy and pace.
