The key responsibilities of the Tower Lead - R2R (Record to Report) :

Shared Services Industry Experience Necessary

Team Leadership:

- Supervise and lead a team of R2R professionals.

- Set clear goals and expectations for team members.

- Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to team members.

- Monitor and evaluate team performance and productivity.

Financial Reporting:

- Oversee the preparation and review of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

- Knowledge of Indian accounting standards required

Month-end and Year-end Close:

- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.

- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting during these critical periods.

Account Reconciliation:

- Review and approve account reconciliations.

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues in reconciliations.

Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the R2R function.

- Implement best practices and efficiency improvements.

Compliance and Controls:

- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations.

- Work with auditors during financial audits.

Training and Development:

- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.

- Keep the team updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.

Domain-specific competencies:

- Have deep knowledge of the process, policies and controls in Record to Report like fixed assets, Intercompany, treasury operations, trial balance review, preparation of P&L and balance sheet , FP&A , Reporting ( Management/ Financial and Statutory )

- Prior experience in management of Audit - Internal and statutory , including statutory authorities will be required .

- Experience in CST/GST working and filing and other statutory filings as required

General Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

- Deliver R2R service in line with agreed controls and procedures to ensure high level customer service and meet/ exceed SLAs

- Ensure effective allocation and monitoring of work

- Manage stakeholders including both internal and external. will act as a point of contact in resolving all issues with internal and external business stake holders.

- Provide reporting and insights on the service to enable value unlock for the business

- Drive transformation projects. Engage in innovative and critical thinking in driving process improvements and operational cost reduction and value unlock

- Provide thought leadership in the R2R space creating visibility and extending support as required on our offerings/capabilities and market trends etc.

- Support the overall build and refinement of the practices in Record to Report domain

- Integrate technology with the solutions to provide improved efficiency

- Lead and develop the team, geared towards high quality service delivery

- Responsible for people and performance management. Coaching and mentoring team members while defining their career paths

The successful candidate for Tower Lead - R2R (Record to Report):

- Must be a qualified CA/ICWA

- Must have more than 20+ years of PQE

- Must have handled team size of greater than 150 people

- Indian Shared Service experience is preferred

- Must have a shared service experience

- Hands-on experience in SAP, S4hana

- Should demonstrate substantial accounting and leadership experience.

- Exhibits strong technical skills in accounting and financial software.

- Display excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Show a commitment to process improvement and aligning with strategic goals.

- Communicate effectively, adapt to change, and uphold ethical standards.
