Description of the Job - Duties and Responsibilities :

- Leads the development and execution of health & safety, environmental management, vision, mission strategy and functional excellence to build Safety Culture at all work locations of the organization (Project and operational sites),

- Drives the establishment of objectives, plans, standards, global standard procedures, and policies ensuring successful implementation and integration of all phases of EHS Management System across all project and operational sites;

- Establishes and implements short- and long-term organizational goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness, to continually improve the safety standards across all project and operational sites.

- Develop, Review, implement and evaluate programs and to enhance EHS awareness and compliance at all project and operational sites with state and Central regulations as well as corporate guidelines and policies.

- Coordinate and lead site safety and health inspections and environmental, internal audits, external third-party audits, assessments by audit agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices, as well as established corporate procedures and requirements,

- Independent Incident Investigation, review all incident investigations and reports submitted by contractors, ensure root causes are determined. Develop and share effective actions to prevent reoccurrence with all locations,

- Leads the organization of EHS professionals to develop and deploy excellence in this discipline for company's operations,

- Cooperate with plants to identify short and long-term program plans; develops and maintains strong relationships across the organization, Develops EHS management staff; sets goals in training and development, performance, and career planning,

- Provide written reports of safety related issues/results, Observations recorded, and closure reports, Training and mock drills performed, Safety activity tracker to senior management on a periodic basis or as requested,

- Regular visits to project and operating sites, Inspects the plants to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.

- Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.

- Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company & Monitors compliance with safety procedures.

- Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics pertaining to basic safety like PTW, Toolbox Talk, LOTO, LMRA, work at heights, Material Handling, Chemical safety.

- Maintains records of available and disposed hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.

- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Plan & organize Technology driven Safety Initiatives such as IR/VR for training, Remote monitoring of critical activities, PPE wear sensors, Vehicle Safety, Behaviour safety improvement

- Play a lead role in contractor management HSE activities by ensuring the compliance to applicable legal requirement by contractor (verification of applicable documents) and contract penal compliance. Actively participate in Major activities by review of method statement, HIRA, Toolbox Talk with contractor, inspection of tools, equipment's, zigs and fixtures, lifting equipment's etc.

- Coordinate safety meetings at sites and Head office, record MoM, ensure timely closure of actionable points

- Actively involved in various initiatives like 5 'S' audit of Guest House, CMS and canteen, compliance to SUP across all sites.

- Take necessary steps to inculcate a culture of Safety & awareness across sites.

- Actively involve in IMS (OHSAS, EMS, ESG) implementation across all sites and reporting of IMS document compliance to management

Required Skills/Abilities :

- Extensive knowledge of Safety and environmental regulations and policies.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Proficient in technology and equipment used in safety and environmental field.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
