Job Description:

Torque Communications (torquecommunications.com), an agency with a rich history of 20 years, is looking for Communications professionals with an understanding, familiarity and experience with the universe of business development for public relations firms or any retainer based communication enterprises.

Role: Senior Manager : New Business Development.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth via new business development and fostering long term client relationships.

This is a pure hunting role:

- Your role will involve identifying new business opportunities, engaging with prospects face-to-face, and effectively presenting our offerings.

- The successful candidate will have a strong background in B2B outbound sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working in a fast paced agency environment.

Location: The position would be based in NCR (Gurgaon) but would involve national responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Ownership of year-on-year and quarterly sales targets (revenue & new client wins).

- Manage end to end, from acquisition, negotiation, on-boarding and owning revenue targets and pushing for them actively.

- Identify engagement opportunities across the client business.

- Be able to deeply assess and understand client needs and create customized solutions through an effectively articulated value proposition statement enabling client's business improvement.

- Develop customized solutions as per the problem statement defined by the client create compelling presentations.

- Conduct presentations to senior management at client site.

- Responsible for all collections, account reconciliation in close support with the finance team.

- Must have hands on experience and proven successes in:.

- Lead Generation.

- Pursuits (creation of interest, delivering compelling plans & approach towards win).

- Closing.

- Key Account Development/ Management.

- Developing long-term, impressive clientele and multi-year revenue streams.

- MUST own-up and deliver impressive year-on-year revenue growth and client additions.

- This is an individual contributor role where the focus is on maximizing revenue potential with the clients that you on board.

- Travel: This role is front-end business development and would involve travel across country to meet and develop clients / accounts.

Desired Candidate Profile:

o Graduate MBA with 8 -10 years of relevant sales experience with a PR agency.

o Extremely strong business acumen, and ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic business environment.

o Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.

o High on initiative and ownership.

Conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure; persists despite obstacles and ambiguities.

o Ability to influence others and gain support from stakeholders.

Strong negotiator, collaborator and team player.

o Maturity, clarity and experience required with senior connects in organisations.

o Should be capable of achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly sales target.

o Must achieved impressive revenue / client wins in past 5 years.

o Strong Communication and presentation skills.

o Must be highly agile, resourceful and have high Passion for Success (fire in belly!).
