TORQ - Senior Project Manager - Oil Seeds Processing Plant Construction

Role & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Coordination:

- Lead the planning and design phases of the oilseeds processing plant, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.

- Collaborate with civil design consultants, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to develop detailed project plans and blueprints.

2. Machinery and Equipment Oversight:

- Oversee the selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning of processing machinery and equipment.

- Ensure all machinery meets safety and operational standards.

- Coordinate with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) for timely delivery and installation of equipment.

3. Construction Management:

- Manage the entire construction phase of the plant, from ground-breaking to final commissioning.

- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless project execution.

- Monitor construction progress, manage budgets, and ensure timely completion of project milestones.

4. Technical Expertise:

- Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

- Ensure the plant design incorporates best practices in oilseeds processing for efficiency and quality.

5. Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations and standards related to oilseeds processing and plant construction.

- Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect workers and equipment.

6. Stakeholder Management:

- Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.

- Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including OEMs, consultants, contractors, and local authorities.

Previous Experience and Skill Sets:

- 8 to 10 years Industry Experience and 4-6 years of experience in oilseeds processing, with a focus on soybeans, palm kernel seeds, rapeseeds, and other oilseeds

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

- Proven experience in managing large-scale industrial projects, preferably in the food processing or agricultural sector.
