Qualification: CA ( First Attempt)
Job Responsibilities:
1. Effective management of the accounting and finance functions for Coffee business.
2. Supervision and timely preparation and submission of Coffee business financial statement for the consolidation process for TORQ entities.
3. Corporate compliance for Coffee entities.
4. Working with bookkeeper to check and authorise entries.
5. Trading position updating and reconciliation, updating group systems
6. Broker Statement reconciliation and liaison with Brokers on margin calls
7. Daily cash payments and bank reconciliations
8. Cash flow planning for Coffee entities.
9. Drafting of financing drawdown requests and working with lenders to provide inventory and invoice financing.
10. Reconciliation of inventory financing loan positions
11. To assist in strategic planning and budgeting process to work alongside Coffee leadership to run robust review processes, including monthly Management reviews covering Coffee business performance.
12. Providing holistic, timely, and accurate MIS to the Coffee Board covering various business performance metrices required for Top Management review and strategic decision making.
13. Put in place internal systems and processes for robust financial controls and adherence to process and documentation discipline.
14. Interface with Auditors to manage audits for the Coffee business across geographies with effective working relationship with leading global audit firms.
15. Manage Tax planning and compliance for Coffee business.
16. Develop an in depth understanding of the Coffee business model, external eco-system, risk factors, opportunities etc to enable effective partnership with Coffee business leaders to advise them on underlying financial aspects for better financial outcomes.
17. Implementing digital technologies in the Coffee business in the area of finance and accounting, with the objective of integrating with the Group level ERP systems, MIS & analytics.
The candidate must have worked with agricultural derivatives in the past - preferably in softs. The preferred companies are those that trade sugar, coffee, cocoa and use hedging and are aware of IFRS Hedge Accounting principles.
Job Location: Navi Mumbai ( with extensive global travel)
