A top tier one law firm is looking to hire TMT lawyer for their Mumbai office.

Job description:

- Advised several clients including media companies, production houses, new media platforms, education entities such as K-12 schools, Universities, and EdTech platforms, Gaming companies, IT, and New Tech businesses, Indian and domestic, on varied legal, commercial and regulatory issues.

- Advised on IP advisory mandates, as well as issues stemming from data protection and digital privacy, cybersecurity amongst other new age issues arising due to new business models.

- Involved in advising clients on cross border structuring, joint ventures and M&A deals in technology, media, education as well as gaming space.

- Provided advisory services to a major social media company on its daily business operations (such as product launches, feature roll-outs, etc.) from an information technology, data privacy and e-commerce laws' perspective.

- Reviewed advertisements and promotional content to ensure compliance with the ASCI Code for Self-Regulation. Structured and drafted a MOU regarding the supply of the company's virtual reality products to the Government of India.

- Drafted a multimillion-dollar master service agreement for a leading digital content services company on the provision of software support services to an American information technology services company.

- Advised on converting a business park into a technology enabled business park with automated processes and functioning, including the drafting of the park's policies such as privacy policy, data handling policy, terms of use, terms of service etc.

- Constantly reviewed products, new features of existing products and programmes before they were introduced in India to ensure compliance with the information technology laws (data privacy, e-commerce and intermediaries' liability) of India
