JOB PURPOSE
The Manager assists the Director to manage all matters of the department, especially in daily deliverables to provide excellent service to clients. He/she is responsible for ensuring daily accurate, timely and efficient delivery of payroll services; provide services broader than data transactions - be knowledgeable of internal process impact, recognition of risk/mitigation plans. He/she is also responsible for providing team leadership and coaching to ensure the team achieves high productivity and provides excellent service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, coach and develop junior staff in the delivery of effective and efficient services to clients in payroll, leave management and tax filling services;
- Ensure payroll process & services quality are delivered in high quality & timely manner;
- Advice clients on payroll related issues;
- Establish & implement internal control procedures;
- Enhance payroll systems and provide e-Solutions;
- Analyze customer specific demands and translate into solutions;
- Maintain relationship with clients- management team;
- Ensure client data is maintained in the highest level of integrity;
- Assist in business development and to identify opportunities for cross-selling of company services;
- Coordinate with other Payroll teams in APAC region, review local countries- deliverables and liaise with all stakeholders to resolve issues;
- Monitor and control the completion of timecards, billing, debt recovery and credit control actions in the department;
- Responsible for preparing/reviewing invoices and collections.
JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Degree Holder in Human Resources Management or Accountancy or any related disciplines is preferred
- Minimum 8-9 years hands-on experience in payroll, retirement funds, salaries tax and well versed in related legislations; with people management and supervisory management;
- Adept in payroll software and other IT applications. Experience in payroll e-system enhancement is an advantage;
- Adept with TDS rules and regulations
- Knowledge of Labour Law, specifically in PF. Should be thorough with PF related forms and PF portal
- Excellent Managerial and Communication skills
- Experience in multiple payroll / Asia Pacific region payroll will be an advantage;
- Experience in professional services firm with strong client servicing skills is preferable.
