Our client is a complete financial services firm, evolved over the years from a boutique investment bank. They have built a strong presence across verticals in the equity capital markets, financing, asset management and now retail business. On retail side they have four businesses

1. Life Insurance

2. Retail Broking and Wealth Management

3. Retail Lending (Housing Finance and SME Lending)

4. Mutual Funds

About Role

The person would be first hire on Analytics side and hence will be expected to setup the function. The role would require the person to be

1. Independent and be able to work with CEO's of retail businesses

2. Competent with Analytics so that he/she could deliver value to internal clients

3. Work with external consultants (as the need maybe)

4. Work across functions to get required data and implement insights

Current Requirements

Level

Mid - Data Analytics Team Lead

Role Definition

Design and run analytics for Retail Businesses (below mentioned list is only indicative)

a. Customer acquisition

b. Designing campaigns and programs

c. Up-selling

d. Reducing attrition

e. Creating predictive models

f. Dealer and sales management

g. Improving customer service

Candidate should also be able to review and improve the process of capturing data and the data itself

Applicant Background

Minimum Years

- 5 – 7 years

Preferred Industry

- Data Analytics Consulting or Data Analytics Practitioner in a Company. Current preference is for consultants

Education

Preferred Education

- Formal Education is Stats will be preferred

Skills - Set

Functional Skills

- Knowledge of statistical tools (Stats in Excel, SPSS, SAS, R)

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented. Smart thinking and high on execution skills. Must be team player, self-motivated He must have excellent communication
