Job Description

Job Purpose and Background/context:

- The candidate is expected to review the reconciled Cash, Positions, Market values and other equivalents of a Hedge Fund between the broker and client accounting software for a leading Portfolio Administrator.

Key Responsibilities:

- The responsibility of a team leader/reviewer is to review the work done by the fund accountants with regard to the reconciliation of cash and positions with the broker on a daily basis and market value for the funds based on the fund’s NAV frequency.

- This may involve reviewing the booking of trades, expense & income related to the fund, researching corporate actions and prices in Bloomberg, etc.

Responsibilities/Duties include:

- Ensure SLAs are met and Funds signed off per the schedule

- Ensure all the metrics are captured accurately

- Ensure client emails are responded on time

- Participate in client calls and support client initiatives.

- Initiate and implement process improvement and quality measures.

- Ensure that all process and IT escalation procedures are followed.

- Update and maintain Standard operating procedures (SOP)

- Initiate and implement process improvement and quality measures

- To assist in trouble shooting of the funds and to help the team in handling complex issues

- To undertake any other duties as required by the unit

- Adhoc requests from clients need to be worked upon in a timely manner.

Competencies/Skills:

- Should be able to handle a team of 10 people

- Should have people management skills

- Strong accounting skills

- Bloomberg navigation preferable

- Experience in Geneva accounting platform preferable

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Willing to work in flexible shifts

Qualifications:

Finance background (B.Com, BBA, M.Com)

Essential: - Finance background (B.Com or BBA or any UG in finance with M.Com, MBA or a PG in finance). Experience in Hedge Fund Accounting.

Desirable: - Certification in capital markets and derivative modules like NCFM.
