Position Summary:

Role:

We are seeking a data scientist interested in working on Growth at Times.

- This position requires strong engineering and mathematical skills as well as significant experience in software development, including a working knowledge of database design and familiarity with scripting languages.

Responsibilities:

- Create and customize models and metrics

- Identify relationships within large and seemingly unrelated data

- Deliver robust high quality data products

- You should be passionate about everything to do with data and already have top-level experience working in data modeling and quantitative analysis. Above all, we're looking for someone with an ability to solve challenging problems and provide innovative practical solutions quickly and efficiently, to communicate their ideas forthrightly, and to work effectively as part of a team to achieve a common goal.

Candidate Profile :

Essential Requirements : (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

- 2 years work experience, including at least 1 years performing data modeling and quantitative analysis, preferably for Internet or technology companies.

- Excellent data engineering and strong background in Machine Learning, Statistics or Information Retrieval

- Proficiency with scripting languages: R, Python

Background: (essential and desired)

- Passion for digital content and mobile apps is a definite plus

Education: (essential and desired)

- Btech/BE in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
