Response is the Ad Sales function of the Company and contribute 90% to the Company's topline. In the last two years, the function has undergone a major transformation to align itself better for sustained transformational growth.

Education & Experience: 15-18 years of Post Qualification experience

Location: Bangalore

Areas of Job Responsibility

1. Sales Target Achievement and Planning : Ad Revenue generation/optimization for the Auto, Retail, E-Com, Life Style, Education, Classified, Jewellery Verticals via regular servicing and customized preposition of allocated clients. This is achieved by regular interactions with agencies and clients. Achieving the Ad. Sales target monthly/yearly as per plan

- Assimilate and analyze information on clients, their competition and market trends, media mix, share of wallet, print share; provide inputs to reporting manager to prepare the vertical sales plan in order to achieve the budgeted figures for assigned clients .

2. Created Sales and New Initiatives : Analyze the client need, advt response expectation of client and provide solution based plan for attracting the client with the help of available competition and market research of each sector . Create a basket of opportunities with implementable plans; suggest / co-create ideas in sync with the client's communication objectives in order to get incremental business through new initiatives and new clients.

3. Job Value Creation: Bucket all Times Group product sales to the client and thereby increasing the value creation of sales pitch to the client.

4.. Client servicing : Develop and maintain rapport with key clients / agencies, share market developments in their industry, create awareness of existing and new services offered by the company, liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and logistics, understand and address clients business concerns in order to become their preferred media vehicle.

5. Sales Review : Provide information to Response Head on order booked, client calls etc. as and when required, participate in weekly/ monthly sales reviews and suggest necessary course corrections in order to achieve the sales targets

- Knowledge of media, advertising, clients and agency businesses

The Vertical Head needs to have enough experience and expertise specifically in the Bangalore market to handle the above sector.

- Apart from capability to handle large and small clients, market knowledge, media knowledge and selling skills which are primary, the soft skills (attitude, confidence, communication and overall personality) will be paramount. Should have some experience in handling a team in earlier stints
