-Department : Management Assurance Services (MAS- Times Group)

- MAS is the Audit Function for the Times Group which also works on special projects from CEO's office on introducing best practices and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications : Graduate + CA (Mandatory)

Experience : 6 to 12 years of Functional experience with Finance, Audit, Analytics, rotational experience through difference functions

Candidates with hardcore audit experience and from Big4 preferred

Job Title : Auditor (Managerial Role)

Reporting to : VP

Position Summary :

Plan audits, monitor audit schedule, provide insights for better controls, highlight inadequate practices, underlie inadequate compliance to procedures, policies, guidelines, inadequate monitoring, correct MIS and introduce risk management practices with the objective of introducing best in class practices, bringing issues to forefront, ensuring adherence to CEO / promoter strategic drives, improving internal control and thus helping the business to improve overall performance.

Areas of Responsibility :

- Planning Audits

- Accumulate, analyze, research the audit areas - business / functions in order to focus on key business areas and value maximization

- Ensuring compliance to the audit schedule

- Monitor the progress on areas covered in audit scope in order to ensure that audits get completed on time

Improving Business Performance -

- Provide specific, practical, sharp inputs to business, carry out disciplined follow ups for improving internal control environment, monitor compliance to business policies and progress on promoter / CEO focus areas in order to improve business results

Monitoring, Problem Solving and Influencing Outcomes :

- Monitor, review, recommend, supervise the work done by team members, interview auditees and influence outcomes in order to enable a quality output

Enable Change Management :

- Train, follow up, influence, engage with auditees to introduce and implement risk management practices in order to ensure that risk management is embedded and institutionalized into the work plans

- Forensic Investigation

- Carry out, check, verify business transactions in order to detect frauds.
