Assistant Manager - Corporate Accounting

- Corporate Accounting at TCS is seeking an individual to transition and to manage the accounting operations in India.
Job functions are as follows :
- Oversee monthly operations for corporate accounting. Manage and review the timelines for accounting entries and financial record keeping.
- Manage, research and resolve stakeholder queries on revenue, expense, accrual and receivable numbers, provide explanations and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Analyze the impact of accounting policy changes and suggest system and accounting changes as necessary.
- Maintain timely communication with multiple groups about deliverables, timelines and technical issues.
- Maintain the utilization and error log on a weekly basis and send to US partners for their review and inputs, provide KPI reporting, and suggest and implement improvement areas.
- Implement better quality checking mechanism to ensure there are no errors.
- Manage and review transitions, provide regular project updates to all groups.
- Set up time and work towards troubleshoot the accounting and reporting issues.
Qualifications :
- C.A., M.Com, M.B.A. Finance, 5-7 years of experience, experience working with offshore teams on financial accounting groups preferred.
- This is a GL process; Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Journals is the major chunk of work.
Skills :
- Very good verbal and written communication Thorough grasp on accounting and financial reporting concepts
- Strong MS Excel and Access skills Self-Starter and ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Experience with Oracle or other such financial systems preferred Open/flexible to work late during financial close days.
Holidays : Candidate applying for this job will follow the US Holiday Calendar and following 3PM to 12 Midnight shift.
