Job Description
The Integration Architect will be responsible for establishing software application standards as well as engineering application integration with other systems worldwide.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define, document, communicate, and implement technical and architectural requirements for current and next-generation systems, in a Service Oriented environment
- Design and develop software integration between applications using TIBCO Business Works and EMS (or using other messaging software)
- Specify and provide ownership of reusable application components or reusable services and processes.
- Provide architectural oversight for integration projects.
- Define the services, frameworks, component types and interfaces.
- Conduct pre-implementation and design reviews for other members and groups within the department to assure quality software construction and to avoid duplication of efforts in solving the same application/integration problems across projects.
- Work with third party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into the enterprise architecture.
- Evaluate new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the enterprise application portfolio.
- Collaborates with business process owners to ensure application-level software services are derived from and consistent with the business object model and business strategy.
- Able to support SOA initiatives and governance
External Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems
- Total experience of 12+years
- 5+ years of experience designing application architectures
- 5+ years of experience in TIBCO integration
- TIBCO BW integration at an enterprise level. (Business Works and EMS mandatory. Knowledge of Business Events, Active Spaces will be a plus)
- Experience in RESTful services
- Sound understanding of Object Oriented Design and detailed knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture
- Good Java experience/knowledge
- Oracle (or other RDBMS) database and application server development
- XML technologies (e.g. XSD, XLST, XPATH)
- Understand characteristics of application architecture models (Batch, Client-Server, N-tier/Web, Standalone, Mobile)
- Understands predominant web architectures. Experience in Java is preferred. Experience in Spring will be a plus
- Understand considerations for A2A and B2B integration architectures.
- Experience applying appropriate integration topologies such as Point-to-Point, Publish & Subscribe, Hub & Spoke, SOA, etc.
- Experience with multi-cultural/national implementations is a must
- Communication skills (in English)
