JD:

Responsible for Managing IT Application Vertical

- Implement technology solutions and provide necessary IT support, within project timeliness which are aligned with the business strategy

- Develop working relationships with the ‘Business’ team and support them by actively participating in events, presentations and trainings relating to customers / members

- Identify technology solutions available in the market place and with technical partners to improve efficiencies and provide a robust technical infrastructure

As a Application Head, the candidate would be managing

- Application Development

- Prototype Design

- Development & Deployment

- Application Security Life Cycle

- Website Development & Maintenance

- Application Support

- Troubleshooting

- Liaison with Vendors & Internal Development Team for any issues / Change Request / Performance

- Logical Access Management

- Software Inventory & License Management

- Application Performance Management & Uptime

- New Product Evaluation

- Proof of Concept for Products / Solutions

- Database Administration ( Oracle & SQL Server )

- SOaX Processes & Reporting

- Incident Management & Reporting

- Monthly MIS

- Business Continuity Planning & Disaster Recovery

- Provide technology insights for decisions being taken by the business teams

- Provide Cost Estimates and ‘Project Plans’ for new business IT initiatives

- Provide inputs and participate in IT Budgeting Process

- Ensure resource levels are adequate for meeting service commitments with internal users and customers

- Monitor and manage vendor`s agreed service level targets

- Compliance with License policy

- Manage and maintain market knowledge / awareness of business developments

- Maintain and ensure compliance with “Information Security” policies of the Company

- Any other responsibilities as delegated by the IT Head

Skills / Competencies Required

- Awareness of Application Development Life Cycle

- Ability to lead and motivate a team of qualified IT people

- Demonstrated project management success and exposure to implementation of complex IT projects

- Excellence in setting and achieving stretched targets

- Good communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate with Technical Partners

- Should have knowledge of and experience of managing a transaction website preferably in ASP .Net

- Software development experience would be an advantage

- Working knowledge of Infrastructure & IT Security

- Awareness of VA & PT & remediation

- Working knowledge of Oracle / SQL database administration

- Exposure to real time computing, that is critical to business

- Ability to trouble shoot and find solutions

- ROI mindset, to evaluate various IT investment opportunities
