Introduction:
RiseUp Bharat is a Section 8 non-profit organization established to foster innovation and entrepreneurship for Studenpreneurs and Ideators. Seeking a passionate and experienced Incubation Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting promising startups throughout their incubation journey.
Key Responsibilities:
1. University and College Collaboration:
- Identify and partner with universities and colleges to establish Special
- Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) for operating pre-incubators.
- Cultivate relationships with academic institutions and facilitate agreements to serve as host institutions, providing a nurturing environment for student entrepreneurs (studepreneurs and ideapreneurs).
2. Program Development and Management:
- Oversee the development and management of incubation programs that aid startups from conception through MVP development to scale.
- Coordinate with mentors, investors, and service providers to craft a comprehensive support ecosystem for incubatees.
3. Government Schemes and Compliance:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations and norms set by Startup India, DST, NITI Aayog, etc., for Section 8 startup incubators.
- Ensure the incubator's compliance with all government regulations.
4. CSR and Grants:
- Understand CSR mandates relevant to Section 8 startup incubators and identify CSR funding opportunities.
- Engage with corporations to secure CSR contributions and prepare grant applications, meeting all requirements and deadlines in order to avail such grants available for setting up Pre-incubators at academic institutions as well as for operations and deployment towards startups
5. Funds Management and Disbursement:
- Manage the allocation of funds to startups in accordance with grant conditions and incubator policies.
- Monitor fund utilization to ensure effective use in promoting startup growth.
6. Audit and MIS Management:
- Manage MIS for tracking the performance of incubatees, fund utilization, and other essential data.
- Collaborate with auditors to ensure proper audits of grants and funds as per government norms.
- Generate and present reports on grant usage and incubation outcomes to stakeholders.
7. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Foster relationships with government agencies, corporate CSR departments, investors, and other key players.
- Advocate for the incubator in various forums, workshops, and events to network and enhance the program's visibility.
8. Incubatee Support and Advisory:
- Offer direct support to startups in business planning, market strategy, and investment preparation.
- Organize training sessions, workshops, and events to build incubatees' skills.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 of experience in incubation management, startup ecosystem, or entrepreneurship development.
- Knowledge of government funding schemes, CSR regulations, and compliance for Section 8 companies in India.
- Proficiency in project management and experience in grant writing and funds management.
- Strong skills in communication, networking, and stakeholder management.
