Business Analytics Manager
Business Analytics :
- Generate data driven insights and provide sharp understanding of issues and opportunities in various areas of sales and distribution some examples of which are:
- SKU recommendations for ISRs (must-sell/opportunity SKUs).
- Trade promotion Analytics - scheme suggestions, evaluation and sales impact.
- Effective target setting at all levels (outlet, ISRs, Distributors & Branch) and integration of systems of ISR incentives, frontline variable incentives and branch performance metrics.
- Improve sales call effectiveness and coverage through analytics.
- Apply business domain knowledge to anchor the development and roll-out of relevant business reports.
- Support analytical requirements of various teams.
- Process Digitization - Understand the sales operations processes of the - organization and lead the digitization efforts in area such as (but not restricted to)
- Trade spend budget spends and reconciliation.
- Loyalty program execution.
- Distributor information flow.
- Analytics Function Development - Design and deploy an analytics roadmap for the Consumer Products Division that includes:
- Craft the analytics roadmap for the BU basis understanding of organizational imperatives.
- Lead the end-to-end business case alignment, design, planning, deployment and adoption of analytics in business and sales functions.
- Share expertise on new platforms, technologies and tools and incorporate best-in-class industry practices.
KEY INTERFACES:
INTERNAL:
- Field Sales Teams - Branch Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers
- HO Sales Teams - Managers in Customer Marketing, Sales Development, Modern Trade & Alt Channels
- Leadership Teams and Category Marketing Managers
EXTERNAL:
- Vendor Partners for Analytics & Data Platforms
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration/Data Science/Statistics or allied discipline
- 6-8 years of experience in reputed FMCG companies with immediate past experience in sales analytics and data insights
Must Have:
- Thorough understanding of sales and distribution processes in an FMCG organization, particularly General Trade.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Excel.
- Strong analytical bent of mind and experience of working with large and varied data sets.
- Familiarity with the data science and analytics industry ecosystem - tools, technologies, platforms, vendor partners.
- Self-driven, energetic and comfortable with ambiguity - as the role will involve setting up the Analytics function from scratch in a fast-growing company.
- Familiarity and comfort working with cross-functional teams and across varied product categories.
- Proven skills in collaboration, influencing, project management and execution.
