Senior & Junior Procurement Specialist (2 Roles)

Summary:

- India-based Procurement Specialists work as team members along with The Beijing Axis (TBA) Procurement team in China (to support global clients with their China/India sourcing)

- Senior is responsible for the overall management and delivery of procurement advisory and strategic sourcing projects in India; Junior plays role as a team member in India team

- Both roles collaborate with Asia/China suppliers and third party service providers (e.g. inspection, logistics, etc.) and drive client projects to completion

Job Description:

- Senior role will lead team in India

- Both roles executes procurement advisory and strategic projects in India for global clients according to TBA Procurement methodology (e.g. commodity strategies, spend analysis, supply base analysis, supplier appraisal, supplier visits, RFX processes, contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, contract management, etc.)

- Produce a detailed project plan to match TBA/Project/customer requirements

- Contribute to successful project execution, in collaboration with other team members globally and/or independently

- Senior serves as the main driver of client relationships and project communication with India office

- Produces a weekly status report documenting project health and progress; manages the budget, timeline, resources and scope of projects

- Leads internal project team meetings and meetings with the customer

- Participates in internal company projects, as required

- Provides active support in defining value proposition and drafting proposals that are able to match client requirements

Requirements:

- Bachelor degree or above in engineering and/or business or related major. MBA or post-graduate qualification is preferred

- Minimum three years of work experience, either in procurement, supply chain or management consulting roles

- International experience an advantage

- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proven experience in people management, strategic planning and risk management

- Ability to work in teams with colleagues from diverse cultures and backgrounds

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Fluent (verbal and written) in English, Mandarin speaking ability desired but not essential
