Thakral One - Lead Architect

Main responsibilities

- Leads strategic technological planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies

- Directs and manages the product engineering teams and ensures that priorities are defined, requirements are developed and appropriate processes are established in support of the product management life cycle to continue the development of the platform

- Contributes collaboratively within a creative and fast-paced environment to ensure design and delivery of high quality, scalable and innovative, configurable solutions that adhere to high standards for architecture, security, privacy, and best practices

- Lead the overall effort towards the optimization of the existing products as well as the launch of the new products

Requirements

Must-haves:

- At least 6-8 years of experience in an e-commerce shop such as Flipkart, Amazon, Urban Ladder, Lenskart, Bigbasket, etc and leading an engineering team of at least 10 reporting employees working on all levels of software stack: Frontend, Backend, Security and Infrastructure

- Experience in executing end-to-end, and more importantly seen and worked on scale on all fronts: frontend, backend & infrastructure, mobile app(s)

- Stack experience: Python, PHP, NodeJS, React, Angular, AWS, NoSQL, Cache Management, Security

- Mastery of best practices for website performance, code quality, and scalability, programming standards and patterns, along with proficiency in Agile development methodology

- Proven experience on driving and executing product roadmaps, and willing to take innovative product risk while balancing the roadmap for on time deliverables

Great to have:

- Experience in scaling up a startup from an early stage, both in terms of traffic and team

- Experience in leading a multi-cultural team with members coming from all over the world

- Experience in AR and VR technologies

- Experience in AI technologies

- Experience in building an omni-channel e-commerce experience, a flawless integration of the online and offline buying user experience
