Texport - General Manager - Industrial Engineering

General Manager Industrial Engineering is responsible to drive the entire factory IEs with continuous improvement and timely execution of targets, handling & resolution of Production related issues and oversee and execute new factory projects in the pipeline. The broad high lights of the role from the Corporate perspective are :

- Monitor sewing efficiency and motivate IE In charge/ Supervisor to get the target efficiency achieved.

- Give estimated SMV to marketing department for garments based on tech pack / Sample for costing purpose.

- Use sewing data bank and arrive at a target for each Style / Operation and publish it to factory.

- Providing guidance to factories to maintain operator and non-operator ratios as per company standards through work sampling and other IE techniques.

- Audit factories to find batch wise machine used and available and prepare consolidated machine plan.

- Monitor Operator Skill Matrix in factories and grade change exercise.

- Provide Industrial engineering input in the technical compliance.

- Evaluate performance, identify training need & train existing Operators / engineers.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering

- Knowledge of GMP guidelines standards.

- Experience 10 to 25 years in Industrial Engineering, lean manufacturing, and process improvement, preferably within the apparel industry.

- Well versed in MS Office applications such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word etc.

- Exposure to 5S, Kaizen, LEAN & Six Sigma etc.

- Reporting level : The incumbent will report directly to Plant Head/ Sr. Vice President Operations
