Job Purpose
- To develop and lead the sales and distribution system for UB in a designated territory
- To report to the Area Sales Manager
- To help set up the entire distributor network for designated territory.
- To help lead a sales force that will comprise around 10-12 stockist salesmen who will be on the stockists- payroll.
- To ensure the UB product portfolio is successfully launched in his territory to the extent of the distribution objectives set.
- To ensure that the sales volume and value generated on an on-going basis is as per the potential identified of that region.
- To lead the stockists salesman in the territory, and be their supervisor, coach, mentor and controller.
- To achieve excellence in stockist management
- To achieve annual sales and distribution targets
- To ensure timely and proper claim submission of stockists and self.
- To ensure adequate merchandising in terms of product visibility and display of POS
- To ensure stockist infrastructure and working capital as per the annual plan.
- Sales forecasting.
- Control damages and maintaining stock hygiene at Stockist/ Retail levels
- To ensure speedy execution in sales promotional activities and speedy response to competition activity
- Prompt market feedback to Area Sales Manager
Key Outputs
- Appointment of stockists who have the interest and capability to manage the UB business
- Achievement of target volume and distribution in his territory
- Management of sales team and other infrastructure within designated budgets
- Successful achievement of launch targets as UB's portfolio is expanded
- Reports from the territory to indicate sales outputs, productivity of stockist resources, further potential, etc.
- Competition tracking
- Updated reconciliation of stockist account with timely claim submission
- Fiscal discipline wrt claims budget approved and T&E statements
