Summary of the Position
The position is that of head of business reporting directly to the Director and Functional Heads at the Corporate Office located in Delhi.
The position, therefore, would entail all functions required to maximize profits, client servicing, operations management, liaison with statutory authorities, HR management, cost control, efficiency optimization, process-management, etc.
The incumbent would essentially be required to manage a Facility located in Kanpur and its attendant infrastructure like trailers, cranes, etc., and manage the services being offered to Clients, thereof.
The position is a full time job and would require the incumbent to be available at all times and all hours of the day.

The Company has been promoted by a team of young professionals and equity - funded by the largest Fund of India. The business in reference to the Position is having an annual turnover of around INR 30 crores. The Business in reference to the Position is one amongst other Business Units of the Company.
Responsibilities & duties
- Operations Management: The incumbent would be required to be intensively hands-on in management, operations and maintenance of trailers and cranes. The performance of the incumbent shall be measured in terms of optimization in utilization of assets and its fitness / maintenance. The incumbent will also be expected to create processes and practices that lead to reduction in cost of operations. OM shall be a predominant function of this position.
- HR Management: The position would be responsible for management of approx. 40 on-rolls and 150+ off-rolls workers.
- Sales and Marketing: The position would be required to place particular emphasis on after sales service with the objective of providing maximum customer satisfaction. The incumbent would need to keep in close touch with the Corporate Office on matters regarding Sales.
- Liaison with Statutory Authorities: The business processes has requirement of involvement of Customs and Railway authorities. The position would high content of liaison work to ensure efficiency in operations. As Business Head, the position would also entail frequent liaison work involving state government authorities.
Minimum 10 years experience in any Operations Profile in a Logistics Company
5 years experience in a leadership profile looking after multiple functions / verticals
- Fluency in written English for official communication requirements.
