Job Summary / Overview:
The Sr. Director for Data Network will ensure quality and responsive services through management and delivery of ongoing preventative maintenance, assessment, and proactive monitoring. He/she will ensure adherence to best practices and proven methodologies to promote continuous information operations and the integration of new value-added technical services and technology.
This role is responsible to manage all the Network operations for one of region (EMEA or NA or APAC) and reports to the Vice President and Global head of Enterprise Networks
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the organization's network operations, aligning it with business goals and objectives.
- Design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure, including Routing & Switching (LAN, WAN, data centers, wireless networks, etc.,) and network security.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure network availability, reliability, and performance. Implement proactive measures to identify and resolve network issues.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the network operations team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Set goals, conduct performance evaluations, and identify training needs.
- Develop and manage the network operations budget, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, and implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
- Manage relationships with network equipment vendors, service providers, and contractors. Negotiate contracts, monitor service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure vendor performance meets expectations.
- Establish and enforce incident and problem management processes to ensure timely resolution of network-related issues. Coordinate with other IT teams and stakeholders to minimize service disruptions.
- Collaborate with the information security team to develop and implement network security policies, protocols, and technologies. Stay updated on the latest security threats and industry best practices.
- Ensure the organization's network operations comply with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and data protection laws.
- Regularly communicate network performance, project updates, and operational issues to senior management, stakeholders, and other departments
- Support on going Network Infrastructure projects
- Participate in Transformation initiatives of Network Infrastructure
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- 15+ years of experience in managing enterprise-level network operations, including experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Prior experience in a leadership or managerial role is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure technologies, protocols, and standards, including LAN, WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, VPN, network monitoring tools, SDWAN, Network as a Services, etc.,
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Proven experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and data protection laws related to network operations.
- Understanding of business processes and how network operations contribute to organizational success. Ability to align network strategies with broader business objectives.
- Professional certifications such as CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are highly valued
- Experience in managing Enterprise customers, especially with ODC networks or customer networks
- Experience in Managing multiple technologies and OEMs in Network
