Technovert is a startup that was built from inception as a services engine to foster product development and we have been very successful at it thus far. We have built ourselves great team, fuel and a direction for product vision.
Working with our services clients, we have identified a gap in the market and a need for a SaaS product with its own niche market and the product is already in making now. We are looking for a hands-on Product Manager who can execute and help us take the product to the market. We have a referral bonus too! Please forward liberally!
Traits we are looking for:
Passion for Products
The person must love products. He should be able to recognize and respect great products. He should be able to look at a product and be able to tell what is good, what is inspiring and what can be improved.
Collaborative Leader
The person should be highly empathetic in nature. The person would be collaborating with multiple functions in the company - sales, management and development teams and he should have the ability and qualities to rally the troops, sell them on the vision and march them to victory.
Execution
The person needs to be biased for action and getting things done. There could be hundred hurdles to get a product shipped, but the person should be able to get down and dirty to get the product out the door. He might have to QA, write marketing content, edit HTMLs, mock up wireframes, do PR and anything else that's needed to make the product a success.
Technical Background
This is a technology product being built on .NET platform and needs extensive integration with platforms such as SharePoint, Dynamics CRM and other systems. The person should have prior programming experience and should be hands-on with Microsoft technology stack.
Extremely Curious
The person needs to be extremely curious - an avid reader of books and blogs on current technology trends and market dynamics. A curious product manager would probe for more details, will ask clarifying questions, will take the time to learn the ins-and-outs of his subject domain.
Visual Communications
The product manager must have a keen eye for design and a deep sense of usability. While we do not expect the person to be a designer, an act of a simple sketch can open up many possibilities. The person should be a pro with at least one of the rapid prototyping tools available in the market.
Compensation
The idea is vetted and has a wide reach in the market backed by a strong dev team, which itself is a great payoff for any ambitious person. That's not to say we are small on pay. We have liberal pay structure to choose from a mix of salary + equity options.
