TNS is working to support the livelihoods of small holder farmers through capacity building and strengthening of producer collectives. The initiative is to support enterprising rural people to transform their roles in their households and farming businesses, and to strengthen the agribusiness for their local communities by taking on leadership roles in local farmer producer organizations. The programs will support farmers addressing four key areas for growth: i) Strong farmer producer organizations,&nbsp; ii) Improved market access for men and women farmers,&nbsp; iii) Inclusive access to financial services for farmer producer organizations, and&nbsp; iv) women shareholders and Empowered women leaders. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience gained through leading development and corporate sector organizations. The incumbent will get exposure to a wide spectrum of program verticals across different functional and operational aspects and above all, an opportunity to really make a difference. Role Description: The person will be responsible for anchoring the below for the program: - Developing an Institutional Plan demarcating the scope of activities across institutional levels of the Enterprise groups, Producer groups and Producer Companies (PC) - Anchor key interactions with the PC board, management and Community Leaders to increase business, business planning, community mobilization and institution building - Strengthen existing value chains by supporting the program in anchoring important discussions with market players, Input dealers, Commodity buyers, Financial Institutions, Government officials - Provide technical & program management support to senior management in field monitoring visits, supervision of training activities and curriculum design, community mobilization efforts, convergence with government schemes, execution of sub-projects - Consolidating and reporting key program data, field level intelligence, oversight to admin activities General Tasks: - Perform a role as a point of contact and conduit for information and networking between the FPC stakeholders to operationalize the high-value horticultural, agricultural, and other commodities and services - Assist the PCs in business operations, identify and facilitate long-term agreements with input suppliers, Financial Institutions and buyers, and support their marketing / procurement-linkage deliverables. - Mentorship and training of institutions (EGs, PGs and PCs) preparation and implementation of training programs - Lead sub-projects, monitoring and analysis, impacts and components for the project - Serve as a repository of knowledge on markets, commodity products and on the different Financial Institutions and their products, Document and transfer of Knowledge products Requirements: - MBA in Rural Management / Agribusiness Management from XIMB, NIAM, MANAGE, GB Pant, KSRM, KIIT, OUAT, TNAU or any reputed institutions - 5-8 years of experience with development sector or corporate organizations - Exposure to working with / supporting farmer producer companies is preferred - Flare for travel as the job profile requires 80% travel time - Experience of managing team / projects - Sound knowledge M/S Word/ Excel/ PPT - Demonstrated ability to independently create and maintain relationships with external stakeholders - Applicants should be open to relocate to any project location in TN districts
