Technology Project Manager

Our client, a global MNC with Indian headquarters in Bangalore is looking for a TECHNOLOGY PROJECT MANAGER who will take total responsibility for the management of projects throughout their life-cycle.

He/ She will be responsible for defining, planning, tracking and managing the project, for identifying key resources and providing the direction they require in order meeting project objectives. The Project Manager is responsible for delivering defined project outputs to time, budget and project quality criteria. Also, ensure adherence to project management methodology practices.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Conduct project planning, activities and manage the execution of projects according to plan (Initiating to closing- )

2. Manage relationship with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients, vendors, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.

3. Manage and communicate a clear vision of the project's objectives, and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance by team members.

4. Ensure proper use of methodology, tools and procedures.

5. Balance the trade-off of the triple- constraint (time, cost and scope) to realize the expected business value.

6. Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external stakeholders to reassess and amend the scope of work requirements, budget and timeline.

7. Manage the financial aspects of the project: budgeting and estimate to actual variance. Be responsible for the project P&L.

8. Analyze risk, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibilities for initiating mitigating action.

9. Escalate issues early about the project to programme management.

10. Proactively manage project stakeholder satisfaction to position and secure customer reference and success story.

Knowledge, Skills and Key Behavior Requirement

(a) Technical skill sets - The person need to have an IT background. It can be in IT application area as well as the infrastructure space.

(b) Educational Qualifications - Candidate should be carrying an IT related graduation or post-graduation

(c) 2 - 4 years of project management experience in project implementations using formal project management methodology, techniques and tools.

(d) Demonstrated experience in team building and leading teams.

(e) Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables such as, project charter, project management plan, status reports, project time-sheets, communications plan, budget and schedule.

(f) Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope and quality while bring projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements.

(g) Ability to actively communicate

(h) Ability to think and act proactively.

(i) Very good experience in managing suppliers / partners.
