Details of this role:
- The role is focused on equities, specifically institutional equities and PCD equities research, with additional involvement in research and asset management (60-70% equities, 30-40% other business areas).
- The candidate should have experience in product management, understanding user requirements, working with vendors, and an overall grasp of the broking industry.
- They should have a basic understanding of technology, as the solutions will mostly involve vendors, though detailed technical expertise is not required.
- The role will focus on infrastructure and technical aspects.
- Preferred candidates are those from broking companies with strong equities and derivatives knowledge (not wealth).
- Important qualities include being independent-minded, able to navigate without daily guidance, and bringing experience from previous roles to suggest solutions and improvements.
- The candidate should be experienced (5+ years) and will be based in Lakshmi Towers, BKC
As a member of the technology Product team, you will have the following responsibilities:
Business Analysis:
- Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement, and translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Sets documentation standards for the team and ensure that appropriate documentation is being created for every project. Ensure appropriate tools and techniques are being used as part of the requirements analysis methodology
Product Support:
- Provide frontline technical support to internal users and customers, diagnose and resolve issues, and escalate complex problems to appropriate IT teams for resolution.
- Manage IT help desk tickets, prioritize support requests, and ensure timely resolution of technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Solution Design and Implementation:
- Lead solution design efforts by defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Conduct market analysis, competitive research, and customer interviews to make design decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm ideas, define product functionalities, and create wireframes or prototypes.and product specifications
- Ensure proposed solutions meet business goals, and user requirements
Vendor Management:
- Identify potential vendors, assess their capabilities, negotiate contracts, and ensure that terms and conditions, including pricing, service level agreements (SLAs), and delivery timelines, align with organizational needs.
- Establish strong connections with existing vendors, gather user input, and persuasively engage vendors to adopt our requirements, maintaining clear communication regarding timelines and diligently monitoring project progress
Documentation & Training:
- Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials to facilitate knowledge transfer, improve user proficiency, and promote self service support.
Ability to drive a strong Product vision is a good to have qualification:
- Routinely perform a system analysis of seen and unseen challenges faced by the business
- Develop a network of people in the industry to understand what competition is using
- Regularly meet vendors to identify solutions and maturity level of vendors
- Continuously evaluate solutions in the market by using them personally
Qualifications:
An ideal candidate would have:
- B.E/B.Tech and/or MBA;
- 5+ years of experience as Business Analyst/Product Analyst/Associate Product Manager
- Experience in collaborating with users and partners is preferred
- Knowledge of commonly used systems in Equities Broking is must
- Strong communication & management skills
- Strong documentation skills
- A great attitude and calm demeanor
- Basic knowledge of APIs and SQL queries.
- Multitasking in a fast paced environment with customer obsessed and solution oriented approach
