The firm serves mid-market companies and institutional investors worldwide from its offices in London, New York, California, Ontario, India and Australia.

Job overview:

- TH is looking to add a Debt Advisory Specialist to join our newly created Debt Advisory Practice. The chosen candidate will play a critical role in advising clients on complex debt financing solutions.

- As part of our Debt Advisory practice, the role requires a professional with in-depth knowledge of capital markets, structuring of various debt instruments, and established relationships with lenders and financial institutions across Europe, and ideally globally.

- This senior position is integral to driving the firm's advisory capabilities, delivering customised financing strategies, and ensuring client satisfaction through expertise and high-touch service.

Key responsibilities:

1. Client advisory and relationship management:

- Act as the primary advisor for clients seeking debt solutions, including refinancing, restructuring, leveraged buyouts, and acquisition financing.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives, financial controllers, corporate stakeholders, and lenders.

- Conduct in-depth assessments of clients' financial structures and liquidity needs, offering tailored solutions that align with their strategic goals.

- Lead client presentations, articulating complex financing solutions in a clear, understandable manner.

2. Debt structuring and financial analysis:

- Analyse client financials to design debt structures that optimize cost and flexibility while mitigating risk.

- Structure diverse financing solutions, including but not limited to senior debt, mezzanine financing, subordinated debt, and asset-based lending.

- Assess and manage complex financing models, stress-testing various debt scenarios to provide insights on risks and potential returns.

3. Debt providers network and strategic insight:

- Have a wide network of lenders and alternative debt capital providers across Europe and internationally.

- Stay updated on market trends, interest rate movements, and regulatory changes impacting debt markets.

- Perform competitor analysis and maintain intelligence on lender capabilities and preferences.

- Identify emerging opportunities and strategies in debt capital markets that may benefit clients.

4. Deal execution and project management:

- Lead end-to-end deal execution, including due diligence, financial modeling, and negotiation with lenders and third-party advisors.

- Coordinate and oversee legal, accounting, and due diligence teams to ensure efficient transaction processes.

- Prepare and manage term sheets, deal documentation, and regulatory submissions, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and standards.

5. Team leadership and mentorship:

- Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on financial modeling, client interaction, and project management.

- Develop a collaborative team environment that emphasises excellence and client-first values.

- Represent the firm in industry events and networking opportunities, expanding the firm's reputation and client base in debt advisory.

Key qualifications:

Education: bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, CFA, ACA) are highly preferred.

Experience: minimum of 10 years in debt advisory, corporate finance, or related fields with a strong record in leading complex financing transactions.

- Technical skills: proficiency in financial modeling, debt structuring, and working knowledge of legal documentation for financing transactions.

- Communication: excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a track record of establishing trusted client relationships.

Performance metrics:

- Client satisfaction: consistently high client satisfaction scores and repeat business.

- Deal volume: effective closure of transactions within agreed timelines and budgets.

- Revenue generation: contribution to the firm's revenue targets through successful deal sourcing and execution.
