Technology Head/Chief Technology Officer - Industrial IoT

Our client is an Industrial IoT Platform designed for vendor independent connectivity. It provides real-time insights for Renewable Energy plants

(4,000+ MW across 13 countries) and offers a comprehensive suite of services including fleet management, real time monitoring, performance benchmarking and Operation & Maintenance automation.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Leadership & Direction:

- Person should track latest developments and technologies in the space and identify the relevant ones for the firm

- Explore opportunities for industry tie ups, technology partnerships etc. Establish the company's technical vision and leading all aspects of the company's technological development.

- Develop high quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives

- Lead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement develop a high performing managerial team

- Oversee all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission

- Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company growth

- Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company

- Evaluating and implementing new systems and infrastructure.

- Monitor KPIs and budgets to assess technological performance

- Proven track record of success in leadership positions.

Technical Competencies:

- Experienced in managing delivery across a breadth of technical domains - Java, Python, C#, etc including:

- Javascript frontend framework/libraries like Backbone, Angular JS, Ember JS, Knockout, React.

- NodeJs and its framework/libraries like Express, Sails, Meteor.

- Build tools like Grunt/Gulp.

- Knowledge of datasets like Redis, Memcache, Mongo Db will be a plus.

- Good knowledge and experience with Big Data technologies.

- Good understanding of drivers for edge sensors, device provisioning and protocols

- Good understanding of sensor to gateway / cloud connectivity solutions

- Good understanding of Embedded systems, IOT, AI,

- Understanding of cloud-based systems like GCP/AWS etc.

- Experience of managing systems with scale and large data sets.

- Familiar with Agile product development methodology and can work with a Project manager for Sprint oversight and delivery.

- Ability to direct development and execution of an enterprise-wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's data and servers.

- Ability to effectively communicate and influence both technical and non-technical customers

- Strong technical troubleshooting and performance analyzing on issues during the implementation / support.

- Strong analytical skills and ability to quickly absorb customer requirements and translate into technical solutions

- Provides technical direction for the design, development and system integration in the area of IoT solution development from definition phase through implementation in a startup environment.

- Assist in the evaluation of new solutions for integration into the IoT Roadmap / Strategy

- Design, develop and market new solutions as per industry and business needs

- Staying on top of technology trends and development, across the globe.

- Support the Sales Team as the Technical Lead in pre-sales consultation meetings and leads the overall technical solution in customer support.

- Prefer to have work experience in renewable sector

Qualifications and Skills:

- BE/B Tech/M.Sc (Computer Science / IT), MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus

- Should have 3-6 years experience in Product development in M2M / IoT Domain.

- Overall experience of 12+ years in technological role. At least 10+ Years of experience in Information Technology arena.

- Knowledge and experience with big data technologies and cloud based solutions.

- Knowledge of device communication protocols, device management.
