Required Job Specifications

- Responsible for designing/architecting/implementing scalable solutions in open source web technologies

- Brainstorming and coming up with ideas/features/technology that would drive the product to next level

- Participate in trouble shooting various problems in the system

- Participate in code review and test driven development with continuous delivery in a virtualized environment like Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure

- Proactively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders. Identify, mitigate, communicate, escalate and manage risks early

Required Candidate Specifications

- Overall 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least the last 4 years in a senior technology role at a leading consumer internet company

- Has proven record of designing/architecting at least one consumer facing application from inception

- Strong experience in the latest web technologies (Java, J2EE, Spring, PHP, LAMP, HTML5, CSS3, OO JavaScript, Bootstrap, Angular JS, Backbone JS, jQuery) and awareness of web/mobile standards

- Extensive experience in data modeling and database design and very good understanding of No SQL databases like MongoDB, Casssandra, Redis, or Neo4j

- Extensive exposure to search technologies like Lucene, SOLR, or ElasticSearch

- Passionate about technology & web-products

- Hands-on and can go deep into problem solving and reviews on both technical and business fronts

- Experience in production web systems characterized by high-end performance, reliability, availability, scalability, and security

- Ability to learn new topics and the implement solutions on latest technologies quickly

Educational Qualification

- BE/B.Tech/MS/MCA in Computer Science or equivalent from a top tier university

- Active contributions in external forums (conferences, publications, blogs, open source software) a big plus

Key Result Areas (KRAs) :

- 99% on time delivery of working code to production with no severe defects

- design and Code should meet the desired KPIs on performance, availability, and scalability
