Techno Functional Business Analyst - BFS

At Outsized, we match clients in financial services and management consulting to high- quality independent consultants and boutique/specialist firms for the execution of their key projects.

Our client is a global payment consulting firm. They are looking for a techno-functional business analyst to support them in bringing technical solutions to business problems through the publishing of APIs for an Open Banking system.

This is a remote 2-week requirement for a client based in South Africa. The consultant will be required full-time for the span of six weeks.

This project is in the second phase and the documentation to assist the BA and the access to client teams to assist with any missing information have been gathered already by the team.

Deliverable for the Business Analyst:

The BA will be required to use the high-level use-cases definition obtained from the first phase of the project and create a document to help the tech-design team understand the requirements aligned with the business.

This will include the following tasks:

- Map the user and client journeys end-to-end

- Understand the client capabilities (with supporting systems) that can support the journeys i.e. gap analysis showing the limitations and constraints e.g. one of the use cases is for a credit card application with instant approval via a 3rd party site. A limitation might be getting real-time credit decisioning.

- Understand the systems, people and interfaces that fulfill the capabilities using the existing template

- Define the reusable orchestration layer i.e. system integrations depicting specific interactions from the client application stack

- Model the specific dataflows/sequence diagrams.

- Define data models that will feed the swagger document

- Creating the Swagger document to help the tech-team
