- Technical Sales Manager/Area Account Manager for a German MNC in medical devices
- In order to grow our current business in the Southern India Region we need a motivated sales professional to lead our sales force to achieve defined targets and ensure the region's profitability.
- The Area Account Manager located in Bangalore will be responsible for sales development activities and will pursuit of ongoing expansion business development opportunities together with our strategic partners.
- The role will also include the development of shared sales strategies and techniques as well as steering the most important projects. The position includes maintaining and developing a professional, innovative sympathy driven image of company with customers and competitors
- Training will take place at our India Head Office at Gurgaon, India, and headquarters in Munich/Germany and on-the-job joining experienced colleagues at their daily duties. (Training at Munich is subject to COVID travel protocols.
The position will be home office based.
- Become an expert in our Image Guided Surgery, Digital Health, Robotics, Neurosurgery, and Radiotherapy product line.
A person should have a good understanding of technical sales in any of the above-mentioned product lines.
- Build successful and trusting relationships with customers and partners and help them to select solutions that best suit their needs
- Travel within your region for customer visits, workshops, and conferences
- Work closely with colleagues from our customer consulting, product management, and regional teams
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to after-sale support and ensure a great customer experience
- Prepare necessary documents for RfPs (including quotes, letters, and answering of technical questions, etc.)
- Develop and grow your region to increase our business & solutions
- Maintain a professional and innovative image with customers, competitors, and colleagues
- Attend national and international meetings and symposia.
- Additional responsibilities include telephone contact, planning and follow-up of customer visits, and technical consultation
WHAT YOU OFFER :
- BE/ B Tech in Biomedical/ Electronics/ Computers or Equivalent. MBA would be an added advantage
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and well organized
- Sales and business experience with capital equipment preferred
- Interest in Medical Devices, Software, Hospital IT, and Video Technology
- Willingness and desire to travel, proximity to a major airport
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Fluent in English, Hindi, and any languages spoken in south
