2. JOB PURPOSE :
- We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to lead the efforts to scope and design the product and align our geographically distributed teams.
- You need to be flexible and entrepreneurial, comfortable operating with ambiguity and willing to develop quick proof of concepts.
- You are passionate about the potential customer and societal impact and will operate at all levels, diving deep into the details while providing strategic inputs for the product.
- A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively with cross-functional peers, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, exciting, and simple products and experiences.
- The candidate will have a technical background, be detail driven, have excellent problem-solving abilities and have good communication skills and ability to speak at a level appropriate for the audience. Capable to engage with vendors to evaluate them and their products and to coordinate with cross-functional teams. Able to quickly gain subject matter expert status on DPWorlds program
- Should be able to take large, complex and ambiguous business requirements, and break them down into manageable projects, write functional specifications, and then deliver them in a successful and timely manner. To be comfortable digging into business and financial requirements as you are drilling into architecture and design with development teams. Anticipate bottlenecks and are an expert at balancing business needs versus technical constraints to move projects forward quickly.
3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Lead strategic discussions and ideation sessions with business leaders to form productive and trusting relationships.
- Cultivate product positioning and benefit statements, partnering with the marketing and communication team to create collateral that generates excitement and makes it easy for our potential customers to adopt and understand the benefits.
- Define a thoughtful, detailed, and executable rollout strategy for new features, releases, and products.
- Write business cases, perform ROIs, and prioritize and write user stories; partner with the product development team to break things down and plan them into releases.
- Focus on building value for our business, not just features; develop innovative and unique product offerings by leveraging the knowledge of the key market challenges that already exist in competitor products.
- Translate high-level business requirements into detailed technical specs and aggressively unblock the engineer teams to execute fast
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and decision-making, while also developing key stakeholder relationships in various locations.
- Assesses market competition by benchmarking with competitors' products
- Defining solutions to problems through reasoned application of information technology.
- You will be given the opportunity to autonomously deliver the technical direction of the service, and the feature roadmap.
- Act as an ambassador for Client's at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with Clients Founders Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following Client's Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or Technology.
- MBA from IIM is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in product management with software implementation, requirement through discovery/definition, design, development, client acceptance, launch and ongoing support management.
- Ability to apply innovative approaches to solving complex technical issues.
- Knowledge in Port Terminals, Logistics, ERP & Freezone Business is a plus.
- Knowledge in Business Process Reengineering
- Knowledge in Object-Oriented Systems Analysis and Design
- Strengths in problem-solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to influence others, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, and prioritize with sound judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to turn customer needs and pain points into innovative products. Experience incorporating product and operations feedback to craft long term vision and quarterly roadmaps.
- Business acumen and curiosity to learn and become an expert on a complex product
- An entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in fast-paced environment is crucial.
- Exceptional passion for delivering world-class customer experiences.
6. COMMUNICATIONS AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal :
- Daily/weekly interaction with the Reporting Manager
- Daily interaction with functional experts from other Client departments as the team member of specific project teams

External :
- The ability to communicate effectively with external parties is essential to successfully perform this role. Examples of these external parties include:
- Senior Government Officials across geographies
- External vendors
- Potential/live customers
- External advisors/consultants
7. FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES AND DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY :
- Operates with substantial day to day autonomy and independence within budgetary and business parameters, Consults with Team lead when required.
- The position is also expected to discuss initiatives, strategies, deliver presentations, and promote best practices with regard to any relevant issues directly with key customers internally and externally.
