The Technical Product Marketing Manager will play a key role in shaping the future of company's Enterprise Data-as-a-Service in the space of backup, DR, and test data management. The ideal candidate would be an entrepreneurial self-starter and an individual contributor, with a passion for technology.
A balance between technical depth and selling skills is key here. Technical depth is required to articulate customer pain points and Selling skills are required not in - pushing- company's technology, but in ensuring a deep understanding of the external customer reality on the part of the sales team and informing the product roadmap with the real-world details that separate great enterprise technology products from good ones.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Competitive Research & Analysis
- Create product collaterals such as datasheets, white papers, reference architectures
- Be the regional technical evangelist for the organization.
- Blog frequently on product capabilities, industry trends in backup, DR, DevOps, Cloud technologies
- Help sales with an in depth understanding of customer challenges, industry trends, the competitive landscape in the backup & disaster recovery, DevOps, and cloud domain.
This requires a deep understanding and experience of various technologies such as backup, snapshots, incremental forever & synthetic backups, deduplication, tapes, object storage, Oracle & MS SQL databases, RMAN, VSS, VMware.
This requires a good understanding of DevOps practices, technologies, software development life cycle, CI/CD processes and technologies used in this space.
This requires a good understanding and exposure to various public clouds like AWS, Azure, Oracle, OpenStack technology, Containers.
- Drive Beta programs and Voice of customer engagements in specific regions in Asia.
- Background in software development, product management, technical product marketing within the last 5 to 10 years.
Must Have:
- Expertise in either DevOps Test Data Management or Backup & Disaster Recovery Space
- Excellent writing skills
- Excellent communication skills to work with various teams in India, US, UK, Australia
- 5 years of product management / product marketing experience
- Willing to travel (expect 25% domestic and international) for industry events and help sales
