In an effort to expand the technological expertise within Protegrity, we have established the largest and exclusive technical center of excellence for Protegrity in India viz, Lakeside Infotech in Jan 2013. Our skilled team of Engineers in this center have been contributing significantly since the past 2+ years to research, development, quality assurance, professional services and technical support of entire Protegrity product suite and solutions. As part of the ongoing expansion in India, we are looking to add Product management capabilities in India.

Job Description :

As a key member of Protegrity Product Management group, this role will be responsible for product management and strategy for specific data security software and solutions from definition through delivery.

This is a highly technical and hands-on role responsible for defining and driving product requirements based on market research & analysis, competitive activity and other needs. Effectively communicates feedback to the product management team.

Also works with R&D team to enhance specific product(s) or product line(s), sets priorities and ensures the GA release meets goals and addresses market needs. Develops technical and customer-facing marketing tools for successful product introductions.

You will join a worldwide team, spread across multiple locations (USA, UK, India, China and Sweden). Your location of work will be Navi Mumbai, India.

Main Responsibilities :

- Understands high-level requirements and converts it into comprehensive technical specifications that engineering can take and start developing.

- Works closely with Big Data, Cloud and other teams on features and its priorities.

- Performs technical mockups and related tests.

- Updates product management team with the defined plan.

- Sets detailed performance requirements for the R&D team with end user deliverables (collaterals).

- Sets priorities and works with the distributed R&D and docs team on the patch and minor releases (in an agile fashion).

- Attends various meetings as part of Agile scrum process.

- Performs competitive analysis on rival products to maintain a competitive edge.

- Creates content for presentations and technical briefs.

- Provides in-depth technical training during product launch and other activities for internal and other relevant audience.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related technical degree. A master's degree is a plus.

- The candidate must have 7-9 years of total experience, with a combination of engineering or solutions engineering and product management.

- A minimum of two years of experience in Big Data, NoSQL and Cloud technologies. Data security knowledge is a plus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong technical background with a thorough understanding of core technologies.

- Ability to research and analyze customer usage data and patterns.

- Ability to write product level content at both a business and technical level.

- Ability to respond to technical RFEs when required.

- Proficient at training internal groups (SEs, Services etc.) on product features/benefits, as well as competitive offerings.

- Has worked in product-based company.
