Technical Pre-Sales Consultant - UMTS (2G/3G) and LTE (4G)
Job Description
The Technical Consultant role is primarily a sales role and sits within the Technical Sales organization.
They are responsible for providing product and solution expertise on all of the company's product and service offerings to the field sales force.
Technical Consultants are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products.
The Technical Consultant must be able to; Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users; Identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process; Establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
Job Responsibilities
- Technical leadership toward defined customer base
- Engaging with business and technical resources within the prospect's organisation in order to:
- understand the prospect's business and technical requirements and break them down to technical requirements
- promote the company's capability and credibility in the area of interest to the prospect
- Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations
- Responsible for representing the product to customers at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
Qualifications
- BTech or Master Degree in Telecommunications, Software Engineering or equivalent.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a vendor Pre-Sales & sales role.
- Over 8 years- experience working in telecoms.
- Strong technical background with knowledge of and experience in computer systems, IP networks and architectures
- Domain knowledge of mobile telecommunication networks: UMTS (2G/3G) and LTE (4G) network architecture
- Experience and familiarity of our products and line of business alternatively work experience with one or more of the following business areas: Network Monitoring, Network Performance and Test, EIR, CEM, Service Assurance, OSS/BSS, Device and SIM Management.
- Off-the-self servers and storage hardware (e.g. HP)
- Business Intelligence concepts and tools
- Possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports.
- Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
