Job Description:
We are seeking to add an Ass. Technical Marketing Manager to our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for enabling our customer's systems with our technology and articulating the value we bring to their systems with our reference designs. As a technology and device expert, you will manage key customer interactions and you will constantly seek new markets and applications for our products and technology and by working with the system applications and design engineering team, create the required demos and reference designs to establish our value in these new markets. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining competitive analysis and regular sales training. You will also be responsible for creating outbound marketing collateral for the company.
As a Technical Marketer, you will be responsible for definition of new products and positioning with our customers. You will work in close collaboration with the NexGen product teams as well as other key NexGen partners to enable our customers deploy our products in their systems. You will be responsible for creating awareness of our GaN technology and its value to various power systems. In this role, you will be working closely with the design team in defining new system controller architectures based on requirements.
Responsibilities :
- Identify current and potential customer's system requirements and product technology needs and provide solutions
- Co-define the product roadmap along with product managers
- Define and manage product requirements throughout the product life cycle
- Define hardware requirements / specifications for power systems controllers based on analyzing the system requirements and competitive landscape
- Drive the product development cross-functional team to develop our power systems controllers
- Define software and firmware requirements for our power systems controllers
- Clarify customer's technical requirements and understanding product requirements and feedback to HQ
- Develop collaterals such as white papers that will enable further promotion of NexGen's technology and products
- Provide technical specification and application note according to customers' needs
- First technical contact point for customers and manage the new product enablement
- Work with HQ to generate the qualification plan and the validation sample plan
- Work with customers to manage the qualification process in a time manner
- Regular meeting with customer to review ongoing & future projects
- Engage with customers' system engineers and project manager not only to provide technical support but also to identity opportunities for Vertical GaN- usage in the system and launch plan
- Support customer with Pre-sales / Post sales activities
- Drive execution of marketing strategy for multiple applications with reference designs and their collaterals
- Collaborate closely with design, applications, and product engineering teams internally to drive adoption of our devices in new and identified markets
- Drive and conduct regular sales and FAE training
- Create awareness of GaN technology and its value to various power applications
- Define the value proposition of GaN solutions in markets
Qualifications :
- MS in Electrical Engineering or advanced engineering degree
- Excellent knowledge of end market for our products such as Power Supplies for Servers in Data Centers, Motor Drives, Electric Cars and Solar Inverters
- Strong understanding on power system architectures and topologies
- Experience working on Microcontroller or SoCs for power systems or similar applications
- Strong understanding on digital and analog control and sensing in power systems applications
- Strong understanding of IC development processes
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- 8+ years of technical marketing experience
- Ability to make pragmatic marketing decisions in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, selling, and negotiation skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy when interacting with customers
- Superior computer skills combined with the ability to effectively communicate verbally, visually, and in writing are essential to success
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and evenings
- Strong team building and coaching skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Significant travel required
- Start-up mentality: fast-paced, flexible and team-oriented
- Experience managing multiple third parties
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience :
- 10+ years marketing experience in Power Electronics, MCUs and semiconductors
- Experienced working with leaders in Power Supplies, Micro-controllers, Motor Drives, Electric Cars and Solar Inverters
- MBA or Masters in a related field is preferred
