Overview
Responsible for planning, designing, developing and implementing software solution projects based on the business requirements in accordance with organization’s software engineering practices.
Job Responsibilities
Technology Management
- Contribute technically in building large complex software applications.
- Provide technical guidance to the team members.
- Inculcate innovation culture.
- Remains on the forefront of emerging industry practices & applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve services.
- Recognizes system deficiencies and recommends effective solutions.
- Ability to build domain expertise within the team.
Delivery Management
- Conceptualize the product/ solution, manage requirements, plan and own the development lifecycle.
- Ensure project deliverables as per budget and project goals.
- Responsible for all deliverables of the development team.
- Managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the project according to the goals and objectives of the project.
- Status reporting to management/ stakeholder on the project deliverables/ issues/ risks.
- Resolves and/or escalates issues and risks in a timely manner.
- Monitor and assess the demands for resources in the project and ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet the customer demands whilst ensuring effective & efficient delivery.
Process Management
- High quality and process orientation.
- Execute the delivery strategy ensuring all activities are fully compliant with company defined Software
- Engineering process.
- Ensure that the development team adheres to the quality processes.
People Management
- Manage a high performing large team ensuring delivery of agreed performance objectives.
- Recruit suitable candidates for the group, induct new members.
- Identify and successfully groom new leaders for handling higher level of responsibilities.
- Effectively utilize team members to his/her fullest potential.
- Help team members in laying down their performance plans and manage/enhance their performance.
- Mitigates team conflict and communication problems.
Stakeholder Management
- Continually strives to increase stakeholder satisfaction.
- Demonstrate strong customer orientation and relationship management in new engagements.
