Job Title : Technical Manager
Location: (Punjab)
Reports to: Plant Manager
1. Main Duties and Functions
Build the yearly investment plan for the 5 Capex categories based on:
- Markets needs in term of new products or additional capacity
- Factory needs for continuous improvement of its S.Q.C.D.M.E performance
- Assets protection needs and maintenance upgrade,
- Automation & IT equipment needs
- Organize and drive internal and external resources to manage the projects portfolio in the investment plan
- Ensure compliance with client project management methodology for Capex (Sherpa)
- Ensure Time/Cost and Quality commitments are met for all projects all along their timeline
- Ensure constant projects stakeholders involvement and consistent projects KPIs reporting
- Share and develop Engineering Best practices, promote and implement Technical Standards in collaboration with Engineering Managers network (local & central)
- Build effective relationships with Central Engineering, R&D, QA, Marketing, Activity Managers and participate in regular meetings / forums in the context of the CBU Product Innovation process
- Play an active role in CBU cross-functional teams & forums to promote, exchange and develop innovation
- Develop functional and managerial skills of team members and set up their individual development plan
- Preparation of annual budgets for the department focusing productivity projects and adherence to the approved Opex.
- Drive the factory Maintenance policy in its 3 dimensions:
Preventive:
- Planned maintenance to prevent machine breakdown
- Work orders in place with tracking system
- Production line shutdown optimization
- Cost optimization in labor and spare parts
Curative:
- Excellence in execution of breakdown repair
- Reports on work, time spent and used spare parts
- Spare parts inventory optimization
- Follow-up of work reports and Production Efficiency to take corrective action when gap with PE target
Improvement:
- Maintenance KPIs follow-up in order to track any opportunity for improvement in maintenance, work efficiency and cost
- Active participation in the Maintenance network to share, develop and implement Maintenance best practices
- Manage the Factory energies to ensure 100% energy supply service to production at the best possible cost and with the minimum CO2 footprint
- Excellence in energy equipment daily operations
- Efficient and cost effective Maintenance plan
- Drive for continuous energy consumption reduction in factory and CO2 footprint reduction
- Manage the Maintenance and Energy contractors on site, following client's Contractors Management and Safety guidelines
- Build and monitor the yearly factory maintenance and energy budget
2. Job Specifications:
Education Background :
- Graduate/PG in Mechanical Engineering
Skills Needed:
Proximity Leadership & Large Team Management
Experience Needed (Professional) :
- 10+ years rich experience in food industry, Dairy will have an advantage.
