Job Description :
- To drive and support the sales growth in the Asia Pacific region by supporting the Sales Managers, distributors and customers on all technical matters related to the entire feed additive portfolio. The Technical Manager is the go-to person for all technical-related questions, complaints and opportunities within the APAC region.
- They are the experts on the feed additive products offering and, on the industry, needs regarding Gut Health and Preservation.
- Take an active role in the testing phase of the products at our Key accounts and help convert qualified leads into customers, by supporting the opportunity pipeline process in the critical technical stages.
- The Technical Manager will work closely together with the Business Development team in the development of new products and services. In addition, translate market needs into business proposals and new concepts that will then be tested in the field by the technical manager.
- Will be the technical customer support in the region at the direction of the APAC VP.
- Responsible for the support and training of sales managers and distributors, in order to make them more successful in selling the feed additive portfolio
- Setting up local trials/ field trials to support the additive product line with local data that is relevant for the customers in the region
- Support the Business Development team in the creation of new value propositions of existing products and the development of new products.
- The Technical Manager is the responsible person to solve complaints in the field by visiting customers and driving the investigation of the complaint together with regulatory affairs and Business Development.
- Promote the Company and its products at scientific and commercial events in the region by giving presentations or writing content
- Support the Sales team in the region at local marketing events, exhibitions and fairs
- At the direction of the Regional VP take ownership of direct account where needed
- Work with fellow Technical Managers and the entire Business Development Team to ensure the correct key messaging is delivered to each category/market segment to optimize customer profitability and retention.
Ideal Candidate :
- PhD. in Animal Nutrition/Veterinary Science with 8-10 years experience.
- Should be experienced in R&D & Technical Support in organizations manufacturing - Animal feed additives for Gut Health and Preservation, acidification of feed, for keeping the feed safe from Entores, myco-toxins, molds and yeast.
- Should be experienced in developing and providing technical Support for feed additives used for Feed Hygiene, Silage Preservation, Feed acidification, Mold Inhibitions.
- Should have experience in feed additives in Dietary Supplements, Poultry Feeds, Sheep Feed, Dairy Feed, Pig feed, ostrich feed etc.
- Should have experience in setting up animal trials in the field, with a focus on animal health, and the statistical evaluation thereof
- In depth practical knowledge of the Asia Pacific animal feed/poultry/swine industry, its structure, and the key influencers.
- Experienced in publishing scientific articles in both commercial and peer-reviewed magazines/Journals
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.com and associated software packages and the detailed knowledge of how to drive sales pipeline efficiency using these tools.
- This position is based out of Mumbai - the selected candidate can work from home till such time the pandemic situation comes under full control.
- Should have excellent communication skills in English - both written and presentation skills.
