JOB DESCRIPTION :

Qualifications: Education, Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Behaviour) and Experience

Qualifications :

- BE /BTech in Computer Science or related discipline from Top Tier Engineering College.

Skillset :

- 10+ years in designing and developing complex software projects

- Hands on development experience on any major eCommerce platform (Magento is highly preferred)

- Strong programming skills with PHP

- Should be willing to learn Magento quickly and contribute

- Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture preferably with Ecommerce domain

- Understands and imbibes the Agile culture with deep understanding of Scrum processes

- Strong web application development skills

- Experience with HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript

- Good understanding of AWS services - EC2, Load balancing, Route53 / DNS, Cloudfront / CDN etc

- Knowledge in Python or Ruby and Linux shell scripting will be a bonus

- Experience in designing globally distributed applications

- Strong willingness to learn new technologies/frameworks/platforms

- Excellent logical and analytical capability to comprehend requirements, anticipate potential problems and come up with innovative solutions / mitigation plans

- Strong documentation, communication and presentation skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills to work across various teams.

- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams

- Excellent problem-solving skills with sense of urgency and ownership.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

- Collaborate with the development, architect, product, engineering and various other cross-functional teams to convert the requirements into well-architected solution approaches and designs

- Conduct feasibility of requirements and provide solution approaches and designs with estimations of effort / duration / resource etc

- Identify and troubleshoot problems, conduct RCAs, creates and implements plans to avoid reoccurrence of same issue again

- Manage a team of engineers and be accountable for the project delivery

- Help bring better practices and processes in the team to improve the work intake, design, development, release and operations of the application. Ensures team's adherence to the same
