Technical Head - Solutions - Telecom Domain

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Areas of Responsibility :

- Primary responsibilities include spearheading the team of technical experts and taking the technical ownership of the team that evaluates the responses for multiple RFP/ RFI/SoW requirements from customer and provide winnable solutions by translating customer business requirements in workable business solutions.

- Need focus on multiple aspects like consulting, pre sales, post sales, solution build, bid support and domain expertise.

- Thorough understanding of Core networks in the domains of Wireless and Wireline technologies like LTE, LTE advanced, NGN, IMS, GSM, CDMA, UMTS, HSPA, PSTN, xDSL, FTTx and Access / RAN networks.

- In depth understanding of technologies like IP/MPLS/SDH/PDH/SONET, DWDM/CWDM, GPON

- Technical support for the team of Subject Matter Experts in various functions viz. planning and Engineering, Service Delivery, Service fulfillment, Service Assurance and Service Management functions.

- Experience in ISP and OSP planning and operations would be additional advantage.

- Sound understanding of global network design standards and parameters, industry best practices, Capacity, License, Features & functionalities assessment of multi technology equipment- s, Process Improvements, Knowledge on standard & non Standard Implementations, Factors Impacting Revenue and Network Optimization.

- Ability to guide the teams on high and low level designs. Discuss, validate and co-ordinate with external vendors during providing solutions to customers.

- Provide recommendations on latest IP/MPLS, transmission and data technologies.

- Participate in consultancy engagements for customers, perform need gap analysis, work closely with international customers to provide agreed SLA and KPI, support project management for implementing solutions for customers and propose changes as required.

- Complete understanding of BSS / OSS tools and NBI requirements.

Work Experience Requirements :

- 15+ years of experience in Telecom domain. Having multi facet exposure in consulting, pre sales, post sales, solution build, bid support and domain expertise.

Education & Technical / Professional Certificates :

- Master's in Business Administration (Preferred - Telecom Management)

- Post Graduate / Bachelor in Engineering - Electronics or Electronics & Communications

- Preferred certifications in Telecom domain

Key Skills :

- Good blend of telecom domain and technical skills

- Good negotiation skills and people management skills

- Strong oral & written communication skills communicate with internal and external customers

- Advanced working knowledge on MS-Office applications & Technical systems

Other Requirements :

(Like Job requires frequent travel, Willingness work in shifts etc- )

Job involves frequent travel and working in multi geography timings

Should have a passport valid for next 2 years at least.
