Role purpose

- Salesforce Commerce Cloud Technical Architect will be responsible for the detailed technical architecture and design of the implementation of Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform for our customers.

- This is a key engineering focused role within the company, where designs and decisions will be based on sound technical knowledge and commercial reasoning

Professional Skills -

- As a Salesforce Commerce Cloud Technical Architect, you will be responsible for the detailed technical architecture and design of SFCC implementations for our clients.

- To ensure that functional requirements and high-level solution designs are understood and are translated into detailed technical design for SFCC specific components.

- Identifying the customizations needed to SFCC platform for meeting client requirements are creating the technical design.

- Communicating the technical architecture and design to the SFCC developers and helping and guiding them in the implementation.

- Own and drive the integration architecture between SFCC and 3rd party systems, backend systems and legacy systems.

- Mentor SFCC developers in improving their platform knowledge and development skills.

- Liaise closely with BA and Solution Architect to create a comprehensive technical design.

- Participate in Agile grooming and sprints and help developers understand the strengths and limitations of SFCC and provide technical help if needed.

- Support the clients in developing their strategic roadmap to identify opportunities for improved business performance and to extract maximum value from investments.

Mandatory Skills

- A minimum of 8 years IT experience of which at least past 2 years shall be as SFCC Technical Architect with strong involvement engineering/development teams.

- Should have worked on at least 2-3 end to end implementations of SFCC commerce projects as a technical architect.

- Experience of various code repository tools such as SVN or GitHub.

- Should have done hands on SFCC and Java development work in the past.

- Experience with managing technical software projects with good understanding of the business processes.

- Candidate shall have experience in working in Agile environment.

- Thorough understanding of software engineering practices and methodologies.

The right candidate will demonstrate deep technical knowledge of:

- SFCC platform and Business Manager tool

- SFCC OCAPI

- SFCC Customer Service Suite

- SFCC SiteGenesis-2

- Knowledge of SFCC Order Management is desired but not essential

- X/HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML and SQL

- Oracle or MySQL or MS SQL Server

- Very good verbal and written English

- Knowledge of Hybris, ATG or WebSphere Commerce would be an advantage but not essential.
